Art that carries a history.
Artbusters is a family-rooted studio where traditional craft, contemporary curiosity, and a love of making meet.
India + USA
It started with a family tradition.
Anwar began formal art training at a young age at the BGM School of Art in Mangalore, India. He later taught part-time at Expressions Fine Arts in Bangalore, an art studio founded and run by his sister for more than four decades.
There, he shared techniques, encouraged students, and continued to develop his own practice. The work has always been connected to people: the family that taught him, the students he guided, and the collectors who live with his work.
After moving to the United States in 2000, Anwar returned to art as a way to relax and rediscover his creative roots.
One practice, many surfaces.
Pencil sketching and charcoal remain personal favourites, but the studio keeps moving. Each medium changes the feeling of a piece, from the quiet precision of a line to the physical build of a textured surface.

Across two places one practice.
India
Training, teaching, and a family studio shaped the foundations: observation, patience, and respect for the hand-made.
The United States
After moving in 2000, Anwar returned to art as a way to relax and rediscover his creative roots. A personal pastime grew into an open-ended studio practice.
The result is work that bridges cultures, techniques, and generations without losing the feeling of the hand behind it.
